In the first lesson we saw how several great civilizations developed in the Tigris-Eurphrates river valey basin of the Middle East and the Nile River in ancient Middle East. This week, we will studying the river valley civilizatons in the Yangtze and Yellow River valleys of ancient China and the Indus River valley of ancient India. In what ways were these Asian river valley civilizations similar to the Middle Eastern/North African river valley civilizations and in what ways were they different?
