The product I chose is called Mass-Tech Extreme 2000. The works by combining 80 grams of protein, over 400 grams of carbs. It also contains 2000 mass producing calories. To intake the product you mix it with 16 ounces of skim milk. It also contains 10 grams of creatine and 20 vitamins and minerals. Many reviews expressed they were urdge to purchase due to the product containing creatine. I did not find any information stating that the product has any scientific evidence to support their claims. I did however read an article stating that college research has been done with over all muscle gaining supplements. People who consumed 2,000 calories along with high protein and also adding a weight lifting program gained 6.8 pounds of mass (Rozenek, 2002). I do believe these products should be more extensively tested. They can cause any number of issues for people who use them. There also needs to be testing on what happens when the body stops intaking the product. Not only can it cause health problems but it can also cause physical problems as well.

chose Move Free Joint supplement because I have had to use something for my joint pain. Move Free Joint movement is a dietary supplement that is advertised to support joint health. It”s key ingredients are glucosamine, chondroitin and hyaluronic acid. Move Free dietary supplement is a triple action that’s taken once a day as a pill. Type II collagen that is one of the ingredients in the pill is the same protein found in healthy cartilage. The ingredient hyaluronic acid is the molecule found in the joint fluid that lubricates the joints. The pill contains seven supplements in total which include ultra triple action. It is suggested that the pill naturally promotes healthy levels of collagen in the joints. In 2015 and AARP jointly filed an amici curiae brief opposing the terms of a proposed lawsuit that was granted approval for a misleading advertisement.

I haven’t found any supporting evidence that Move Free Joint supplements actually relieve discomfort and pain in the joints. This supplement and other dietary supplements should go through stringent testing. These are supplements that people choose to use to get relief from pain or that believe it will help their body in a healthy way. Most people rely on advertisement to give them information when searching for different types of dietary supplements. More research should be conducted on any type of supplement or medication that goes into the body. Even when it’s prescribed from a doctor, I recommend that an individual do their own research on anything that the body will consume.
